Knitting projects

I really have been knitting...a lot.  I find myself torn at night between reading and knitting!  I think I want to try some audio books so I can do both!  I think knitting is very relaxing (until I have to tink, of course) and it really takes my mind off my day and lets me concentrate on creating and making and doing.

Natalie's sister-in-law, Ingrid, is having a baby girl.  I told Natalie that I would love to knit a few things for her.  Ingrid said that she did not want a lot of pink, but she loved purple...so, I complied!

This is a hat and booties!  I love the ruffle and the flower!  By the way, the flower was crocheted!  I know, yet another new hidden talent!

This is one cute little hoodie!  I made one for my grand niece about a year ago and thought I would try my hand at it again.    It came out just as cute.  I love this project!  It is probably one of my most favorite things to knit.

Lastly, I did a blankie!  This is with the entrelac technique.  I love, love, love this technique.  It looks so rich and so intricate.  This was made with a variegated yarn of purple, white and blue.  It turned out exceptional.   The second picture is a close up of the technique and also shows off my new binding move.  I did an I-cord edging all around the blanket which gave it a very nice, finished look.

So,  that is what I have been doing!  Of course, for every one thing that I complete, I start two others!  My knitting bag is always full!

XOXO
